Ask you instructor to help you with a small experiment. The only real reason you need to use 2007 rather than 2010 is if your instructor(s) are using some sort of e-tool to grade your document files. There will be minor differences in the user interface, File tab vs Office button etc,īut you should be able adapt. If you use Word 2010 to edit a file originally created in 2007 you should be limited to the features available in 2007. You might be able to use that to your advantage. I assume same is true with Access, but I don't know from experience. Word 2010 works in "Compatibility" mode, dumbed down, when working with files created in 2007.
